OUR SERVICES 

In accordance with Local Flood Policies, surface water from new developments is generally discharged using the following hierarchy: 1. into the ground (infiltration); 2. to a surface water body; 3. to an adopted surface water sewer. We have the ability to design and detail a suitable foul and surface water drainage system to satisfy these criteria.

Our integrated approach to temporary and permanent works design, our understanding of construction processes, our knowledge and application of advanced engineering practices combined with relevant experience is what distinguishes us in the market and offers value to our clients. Our design procedures are BS 5975 compliant. We are experienced in Eurocodes, British Standards or more traditional UK temporary works design methods (working loads, permissible stress).

As a result of recent changes to the Planning Legislation. There has been an increase in developers looking to optimise usable space through permitted development rights. We carry out structural assessments on the suitability of existing buildings to support additional storeys along with the structural design of any transfer grillage.

Quite often properties are built on sloping sites and require some form of retaining structures. We have the ability to design and detail walls using traditional masonry, reinforced concrete or gabion baskets.

Most industrial buildings are in the form of lightweight profiled metal cladding supported on a steel portal frame. We have the ability to design and detail the structural steel frame, cold rolled rails and frame connections.

It is not uncommon for the Planning Authority to ask for a drainage strategy report to discharge any planning conditions. We can produce a report to assist with this.
